Jonathan advises on M&As, joint ventures, commercial contracts, and new market entry in Southeast Asia. He has deep e-commerce and logistics sector expertise, having served as Deputy General Counsel at a leading Southeast Asian e-commerce platform.​​

Jonathan began practice as an M&A and joint venture lawyer in leading international and Singapore law firms, with a focus on cross-border transactions.

He subsequently spent 8 years at a leading Southeast Asian e-commerce platform, where he served as Deputy General Counsel. When in-house, he advised on a broad range of matters in Singapore and Southeast Asia. These included:

• e-commerce, digital, and logistics business line launches;
• foreign investment, business licensing and corporate structuring in Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia;
• e-commerce platform and technology regulatory compliance;
• regulatory engagement; and
• M&As, joint ventures and corporate structuring.

Jonathan’s in-house experience has given him an understanding of what is important to start-ups, SMEs, founders and business owners. This enables him to give practical legal advice, and to prepare clear, concise agreements that meet business objectives.
